Reflection

Isn’t this a perfect summer evening? Sitting outside at the water, watching the sun set. It is nice and quiet. Maybe the cocktails are already mixed. You sit on your boat and just talk and sip your drink. The neighbors, who live here have a small boat mooring in front of their beautiful garden. It is called brulboei. Which is a funny name. I wonder what the story behind the boat is.

Coming home from a long trip

I came across this boat in Friesland at sunset. It always gets my mind wandering, where it has been and what advantures it may have lived.

Steinplatte

Austria – Lofer Alm

Time passes quickly. The final day has already come, but it comes with sun and lots of snow. Today we try the Lofer Alm ski areal. Two gondolas bring you right into the the ski areal.

Snow is great and so is the weather today. But it is not very crowded.

Hardly anyone on the slopes.

Some good food later with a breathtaking view in one of the Alms.

Or you sit outside in the sun.

The sun sets at the end of a beautiful day.

I think i will come back here. The Lofer has a lot to offer. There are slopes for total beginners and for freaks. There is the Steinplatte around the corner if you ever feel like trying a different ski areal.
And Kitzbühel is very close if you need some glamour.

Kitzbühel – Steinplatte – Austria

Life is good. Sun and snow. Up it goes quickly with a gondola. And if it was only for the view, it would be well worth going. Three top station of the lift is 1000 meter heigher than the one in the valley.

There are several slopes you can use. And for the very first time i am really happy, because some of them are so heavenly brought as if they were made for snowboarders.
If you get hungry, then you will find some restaurants up here too. Of course they serve Austrian cuisine.

So i have to go. There is a mountain waiting for me.

Kitzbühel

Yes it feels like living in a postcard. Nice and yet modern city with lots
of interesting shops. It really managed to keep its Austrian charms. Of course you can spent a lot of money here. All the labels are here too. I really don’t need that. I have a old snowboard and some pieced together equipment. But that’s all i really need. Well some new boots would be nice. These are getting a bit stiff.
The weather is a dream. We have snow and sun.
