So I start with this:

Not very much detail, no good contrast and very sad colours. But I like the clouds already.

But before I edit the contrast and colour settings I add some detail:

I use Nik Software Colour Efex Pro 4 in Photoshop to Extract Details, which gives me that:

Then I do some colour balance to bring out the dark blue sky, so that the clouds shine nice and white. I add some dynamik and I shift the yellow tones a bit to blue, so that the fields are nice juicy green. Then I add my passepartout with the dark lines and my logo. And the result is that:
